The Tsunami

Saturday, August 16, 2019

I came in this morning around 0500 to find John glued to the TV set. A cup of coffee was sitting on the counter behind him, apparently forgotten. Something bad going on then, for sure.

“Sit down, Van, listen.” He turned the news up.

And we watched the disaster unfold. Jesus, they’re saying a 100,000 minimum dead in India alone. And they’re expecting more waves in the next two hours.

I’m reading through reports on the box right now. Looks like the quake in Anchorage was pretty bad too, no hard numbers on size though. I see anywhere from 7.2 to 10! And they’re expecting big waves all along the West Coast.

What hell is going on?
